The Halibut/White Seabass Tournament finally is in the books, after having to postpone the Tournament for two weeks because of the weather and the holiday weekend. We had our best turnout of the year with eight boats and 20 anglers participating. The fishing was slow with the conditions inshore being off. Team Doghouse and Team Karibik the only boats to weigh in fish. Team Doghouse won Top Boat with a 21.8 lb total, Top male went to Tim Honick with a 9.6 lb Halibut, Top Junior went to Jeff Ring with a 5.2 lb Halibut and second place in the boat division went to Karibik. There was no fish weighed in by the Women so the money will roll over to the 3B’s Tournament on June 22.
I hope we can get more kids involved in the club and the next Tournament is only for Women and Juniors(16 and under). We are giving a nice Spinning rod and reel to the winning Junior. Hope to see you all at the Luau!
